It has often been said that “children are our future”.  This is even more true when it comes to building God’s Kingdom.  We at Greater Life recognize the importance of nurturing and teaching children at an early age.

Jesus Himself said, “Let the  little children come to me.”  (Matthew  19:14) and when they came He spent time telling them about heaven and His heavenly Father.

We are told to “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22:6-7)

The Greater Life Construction Zone will build your children’s faith in Jesus and teach them that He is their personal friend.  They will begin to learn the gifts that God has given them and how they can use those gifts for God and His Kingdom.

Andrea Glendenning serves as the Director of the Construction Zone Kids. Andrea has a love for  kids. Her education in psychology and her experience in teaching in a Montessori School and her love for God combine to create a tremendous ability to interact with children and their parents.

Lesa Glendenning serves as the Co-Director of  the Construction Zone Ministry to Kids.  She is the Lead Teacher to the Construction Zone Diggers (Ages 4-Kindergarten). She has a degree in Psychology from MidAmerica Nazarene University and a minor in Religious Education.  She provided child care and stayed home with her young children.  Lesa is the pastor’s wife and has been involved in many aspects of the church, but her gift and ministry has been with youth and    children.  She has served as a Sunday School Teacher for the youth and  has served a year as Iowa District Children’s Camp Director.

It takes special people to become the users of the tools to develop our children and build their faith.  These people are part of the crew that spends this special time with your children

Nursery Staff  is led by Juanita Middleswart . She is a Registered Nurse with the Iowa Health System.

Construction is underway during the   Sunday morning worship hour.  Starting at 10:30am. The Construction Zone is divided into two age groups:

  The Diggers Zone—Ages 4- Kindergarten

        The Main Zone— 1st-6th Grade

The children enjoy age appropriate Learning Centers which are made up of...

· Bible Stories

· Music

· Crafts

...that help them build their faith and     realize their gifts.

Children’s Presentations:
